If you're anything like me, you've been listening to Taylor Swift's latest album on repeat since it dropped on April 19th, 2024.

The Tortured Poets Department is Swift's latest work and initially consisted of sixteen songs. A few hours after the initial release she dropped fifteen more tracks and calling this collection The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology.

This is the singer's first double album.

This record is actually breaking records!

The week after the album came out, it immediately hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart, according to reports.

Swift is now tied with Jay-Z for the second most number one albums (14).

Neither of these artists have surpassed The Beatles who hold the number one spot.

One Track Will Have Iowans Taking a Double Take

I was relistening to this new batch of music for the thousandth time the other day, when I came to the song loml.

This track is a part of the original sixteen songs on the record.

In loml, Taylor is vividly describing a relationship she thought was the "one." This person and this relationship are both described as the "loss of my life."

This is a twist on the phrase "love of my life."

When I was listening to the track, I came to the final chorus and heard something that I've heard a time or two since moving to Iowa.

Here's the chorus! Let's see if you can figure out what exactly made me stop and replay this section.

Oh, what a valiant roar
What a bland goodbye
The coward claimed he was a lion
I'm combing through the braids of lies
"I'll never leave," "Never mind"
Our field of dreams engulfed in fire
Your arson's match, your somber eyes
And I'll still see it until I die
You're the loss of my life
When I heard that "field of dreams" line, I had to pause the song.
Did Taylor just reference the cult classic baseball movie that was filmed right here in Iowa?
Honestly, that's what I thought at first!

The singer did collaborate with the band Fall Out Boy last year when she re-recorded her third record 'Speak Now.'

In the same year, Fall Out Boy released their latest album 'So Much (For) Stardust.'

One of the songs on this record is called 'Heaven, Iowa.' Clearly a reference to the iconic Field of Dreams.

Could Taylor be leaving little easter eggs leading to the Hawkeye State?

To be quite honest...probably not.

Has Taylor Swift Ever Been to Iowa?

The singer has made multiple stops to the Hawkeye State over the years. However, it's been about eight and a half years since she's performed here.

This was back during the 1989 World Tour in 2015.

Swift brought the iconic tour to the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines on October 8th, 2015.

Could she have maybe made a brief stop to Iowa over the past decade?

There's a small chance, but it's most likely she hasn't been to the Hawkeye State since.

Hopefully, Travis takes her on a Midwestern road trip between her Eras Tour concert dates.

Taylor Swift's Best Pictures From Travis Kelce's Super Bowl Season

Taylor Swift's love of the Kansas City Chiefs seems to mirror her love of boyfriend Travis Kelce. At first, she was a little awkward, but by the end of the season, she'd grown passionate for both.

Here are 29 of the best pictures of Swift and her posse from this NFL season and playoffs. There is one more game to go, but it's not clear if she'll make it to the Super Bowl since she has a concert in Tokyo the night before. Either way, watch as her fandom gains confidence and friends.
